John died March 4, 2008 in Bremen, Haralson Co., GA. Obit: John Franklin Goldin, 50 of Goodman Lane, Bremen, passed away suddenly on March 4, 2008.

John was born on March 1, 1958 in Polk County, Georgia, the son of Shirley Raye Daniel Goldin and the late Hal Goldin. He was owner and operator of Big John’s Concrete and member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl Scott Goldin.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Dee Bowman Goldin of Bremen; mother, Shirley Raye Daniel Goldin of Draketown; children, Kesha Dee and Roy Patrick Barker of Pensacola, Fla., Jessica Elaine and Richard Jason Campbell of Bremen and Johnathan Aaron Goldin of Bremen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda Deneise and David A. Osborne of Draketown and Debbie Suzzanne and Max Green of Temple; brother and sister-in-law, Corley and Teresa Goldin of Temple; grandson, Andrew “Andy” Patrick Barker of Pensacola, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 between the hours of 5 and 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 6, 2008, at 2 p.m. from Mount Carmel Baptist Church with Dr. Corky Addison and Reverend Keith Arp officiating. Music will be provided by Mr. Pat Barker. Joel Norton, John Siske, Gary Singleton, David Bivins, Junior Golden, Robert Reagan, Jabo Cooper and Keith Hitchcock will serve as pallbearers. Johny Huey and David Bivins will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

John Franklin Goldin and Sandra Dee Bowman had the following children:
