Mildred died June 1, 2002 in Clay Co., IL. OBIT: Mildred was the aughter of Ray and Elsie Fahler Parish. She married Cecil James Kayo Powless in May of 1931 in Clay County. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1982. Survivors include sons John Dale, Robert C. and daughter Kay Marie Stauffer. Brother William, sisters Catherine Myers and Helen Croton.
She won several women's golf championships and scored two holes in one during her golfing career, the last when whe was 81.
Funeral services were held at Frank and Bright Funeral Home in Flora, with Rev. Roscoe Rose and Rev. Keith Turner officiating. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Flora Public Library.
She married Cecil James Kayo Powless May 1931 in Clay Co., IL. Cecil was born November 9, 1910. Cecil died March 2, 1982.
