OBIT: Virginia Goodrich Kearney, age 93, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, former resident of Henderson, North Carolina, died April 20, 2008 at White County Medical Center in Searcy, Arkansas. Born November 19, 1914, in Vance County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Eula and Will Goodrich. Virginia was a homemaker, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Henderson, North Carolina, a member of the VFW Auxilary and a volunteer with Headstart.

Survivors include a son, Robert (Molly) Kearney of Heber Springs, Arkansas and three grandchildren, Clay Kearney, Shannon Kearney Pearce, and Drew Kearney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eula and Will Goodrich and her husband, Murat J. Kearney.

Local arrangements are by Heber Springs Funeral Home, 1199 Wilburn Road, Heber Springs, Arkansas, 501-887-9152. A graveside service will be conducted by J.M. White Funeral Home of Henderson, North Carolina Thursday at 10:00 am, at Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. George D. Speake officiating. Henderson, North Carolina. The family will receive friends Thursday morning immediately follwing the service at Elmwood Cemetery.

She married Murat Johnston Kearney. Murat was born November 25, 1914 in Vance Co., NC. Murat was the son of Tobias (Tobe) Kearn and Maude Mary Strother. Murat died October 3, 1995 in Henderson, Vance Co., NC.

Virginia Wynn Goodrich and Murat Johnston Kearney had the following child:
