4. Brewer² Wood (James¹) was born 1782. Brewer died 1827 in Logan Co, KY.

He married twice. He married Hicksey Blanchard November 12, 1804 in Logan Co, KY. Hicksey was born. He married Rebecca Dulan June 5, 1809 in Logan Co, KY. Rebecca was born. Apparently there was a conflict between Lucy Brooks and her stepmother Rebecca. In January 1854 Lucy and John Brooks petitioned the court for the amount due them from the estate of Brewer Wood, which was $39.80. Harris Wood answered the petition against his mother Rebecca. He said that Rebecca had a receipt showing payment of $15 to Lucy. Also he pled the statute of limitations in his defense claiming that seven years had elapsed since Rebecca had made settlement. Rebecca said that she gave Lucy a bureau valued at $12 in 1840, before she married John Brooks. Brewer Wood died the latter part of 1827 and is buried in the Wood Cemetery in Logan County, Kentucky. His estate was settled November 5, 1827 with Rebecca Wood, wife, the administratrix. The attorney was Harris D. Wood. Another Wood married the sister of Rebecca Dulin, so Harris D. Wood could have been the son, brother, nephew, or cousin of said Brewer Wood. The records of Logan County, Kentucky showed that this Wood who married the sister of Rebecca Dulin was from Massachusetts. Rebecca Dulin Wood signed some of the administration papers at the home of her one of her sons, Perry G. Wood, in Green County, Illinois, but she was present in Russelville, Kentucky when the estate was finally settled. She (Rebecca) had a daughter, name unknown, and a son named John Wood who lived in Coyell County, Texas, raised a family, died and is buried there. Said John Wood would be a brother of Mathew J. Wood. The record does not show who were the heirs of Brewer Wood.

Brewer Wood and Hicksey Blanchard had the following children:

12 iii. Holly Wood was born 1808. She married John Martin in Logan Co, KY. John was born.

14 v. John R. Wood was born 1812. John died in Conyell County, TX. Raised a family in Gatesville, Coryll County, Texas --The Wood Family
