79. Mary Bridgitt (Mamie)5 Gibbon (Josephine C.4 Wood, Matthew J.3, Brewer2, James1) was born in Mississippi August 1873.
She married James Louis Cagle July 15, 1891 in Louisville, Winston Co, MS. James was born November 1870 Georgia. James was the son of James Pinckney Cagle and Jennie Cheathem. James died AFT 1927 in Louisiana. When Bridget was 5 years old, her father died in the typhoid epidemic of 1878 that killed thousands in the Memphis, TN area. With her mother already deceased, she was then taken into the home of her maternal grandparents who lived on a farm near Louisville, MS. Although not legally adopted by the Wood family, Bridget was often thought of as a Wood and that name was used on some documents. she was often called Mamie.
Louis and Bridget moved to Oklahoma around 1907 and worked in a bank. They lived not far from his paternal aunt, Eululia Cagle Costiloe, for a time. Louis abandoned his wife and seven children in Oklahoma and disappeared. shortly after Bridget and her children stayed in the home of the costiloes for a period of time before her father-in-law returned them to Mississippi. Only Bridget and the children are shown on the 1910 Pushmataha Co, OK Census. Louis had already left by then.

168 i. Jennie Clifton6 Cagle was born in Winston Co, MS April 1892. Jennie died 1985 in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA. She married Frank C. Van Cleve 1911.
169 ii. James Pinkney (Buddy) Cagle was born June 24, 1894.
170 iii. Ruth Cagle was born in Ackerman, Choctaw Co, MS August 23, 1896. Ruth died July 1980 in Germantown, Shelby Co, TN. She married Ivy F. Hubbard 1919. Ivy was born July 14, 1899 in Mississippi. Ivy died March 1980 in Germantown, Shelby Co, TN.
171 iv. Mary Elva Cagle was born September 1898.
172 v. William Louis Cagle was born July 25, 1900.
173 vi. Evalena (Lena) Cagle was born in Oklahoma July 8, 1906. Evalena died May 4, 1997 in Memphis, Shelby Co, TN. She married James Adkins ABT 1932. James was born December 12, 1907. James died June 1975 in Memphis, Shelby Co, TN.
174 vii. Robert Cagle was born in Pushmataha Co, OK April 22, 1908. Robert died February 1975 in Memphis, Shelby Co, TN. *Never married.
