117. Frank Woodard⁵ Crosby (Orra Alice⁴ Wood, Matthew J.³, Brewer², James¹) was born in Winston Co, MS March 13, 1896. Frank died February 9, 1944 in Philadelphia, Neshoba Co, MS. His body was interred at Oak Grove Bapt Church Cemetery in Neshoba Co, MS.

He married Vera Coit Lane January 21, 1920 in Neshoba Co, MS. Vera was born December 27, 1899 in Neshoba Co, MS. Vera was the daughter of Ezra B. Lane and Saphronia A. Tew. Vera died August 21, 1971 in Neshoba Co, MS. Her body was interred at Oak Grove Bapt Church Cemetery in Neshoba Co, MS.

Claude Lavelle Crosby

289 i. Claude Lavelle⁶ Crosby was born in Philadelphia, Neshoba Co, MS October 27, 1920. Claude died January 28, 2003. Graveside services for Claude Lavelle Crosby were held Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at 10 a.m. from Oak Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Bennie Robertson officiated. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Crosby, 82, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003 in Alliance Laird Hospital in Union. He was a U.S. Airforce veteran and a retired truck driver for the city of Jackson. He was a member of McClain's Chapel Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn G. Crosby of Philadelphia; one sister, Rose Alford of Philadelphia; three brothers, Alfred Crosby of Philadelphia, Melvin Crosby of Jackson and Ray Crosby of Columbus and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Rusty Hall, Dwight Galloway, Lynn Pope, Floyd Williamson, Leonard Barrier and Raeburn Lane. His body was interred at Oak Grove Bapt Church Cemetery in Neshoba Co, MS.
