71. William Henry⁵ Wood (William Leander⁴, James³, Peter², James¹) was born in Walcott, Greene Co, AR November 27, 1881. William died January 29, 1954 in Greene Co, AR.

He married Maude Fletcher August 31, 1907 in Greene Co, AR. Maude was born December 29, 1886 in Greene Co, AR. Maude was the daughter of Reuben Fletcher and Alsadora Ward. Maude died May 6, 1990 in Finch, Greene Co, AR. "Uncle Bill said when they lived at Greene County South School, Grandpa Henry was a teacher and they lived in a little house and papered it with newspapers. Sitting around there, Grandpa noticed crossword puzzles on the wall and cut if off the wall to work it. Not long he had cutouts all over the walls. He was a teacher at Pine Knot, Finch, and Clark's Chapel, where in one picture, there are three doctors Grandpa taught. About 1908, Grandpa had an abscessed tooth that got infected and set up blood poison. Grandma brought him home in a wagon to die after five doctors had said he would die. Mr. Ed Bolin and Pet McNeal came and prayed over Grandpa and put oil on him. I don't know what kind. He was bedfast for thirteen weeks but got well. He out-lived those five doctors. He was baptized at Liberty July 12, 1902."

158 i. Juanita⁶ Wood was born in Walcott, Greene Co, AR September 14, 1908. Juanita died January 6, 1975 in Walcott, Greene Co, AR. She married Lucian Turpin. Lucian was born June 1, 1909. Lucian died July 25, 1990 in Walcott, Greene Co, AR.

159 ii. George Wood was born February 8, 1910.

160 iii. Ruby Wood was born May 2, 1915.

162 v. Tom Wood (living).

163 vi. Tomazine Wood was born in Walcott, Greene Co, AR October 29, 1922. Tomazine died September 26, 1984 in Walcott, Greene Co, AR. She married Joe M. Chesser. Joe was born May 12, 1912. Joe died March 6, 1999.
