Marshall died July 19, 1983 in Decatur, Newton Co, MS. Marshall was buried in the Beat Line Baptist Church Cemetery.
He married Gladys Jewel Leach October 17, 1934 in Newton Co, MS. Gladys was born January 30, 1918 in Newton Co., MS. Gladys was the daughter of Nathan Clark Leach and Leona McCorkele. Gladys died October 2, 2005 in Union, Newton Co, MS. Obit: NEWTON - Services for Gladys Allgood will be held today at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Beat Line Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Allgood, 87, of Decatur, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at Laird Hospital in Union. She was a member of Beat Line Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Brock, and her husband, Bill, of Decatur; sons, Donald Allgood and James P. Allgood and his wife, Susan, all of Decatur; a son-in-law, Robert Edwards of Decatur; a brother, Bill Leach, of Michigan; 18 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Allgood; daughters, Marcella Hollingsworth and Caroline Edwards; a son, George Allgood; parents, Clark and Leona McCorele Leach; sister, Geneva Holmes and a brother, Marvin Leach.
Pallbearers will be Danny Edwards, Marshall Allgood, Matt Bender, Edward Holmes, Gary Holmes and Jerry Allgood.
Visitation will be today from 8 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
