He married Ada B. Blankenship October 10, 1942 in Shelby Co., AL. Ada was born October 9, 1926 in Shelby Co., AL. Ada was the daughter of Jessie Green Blankenship and Myrtle Irene Grimes. Ada died November 26, 2008 in Odenville, Saint Clair Co., AL. OBIT: Ada B. Washington, age 82 of Odenville passed away Nov. 26, 2008. Mrs. Washington is survived by her sons, Larry A. Washington and Gary P. Washington; grandchildren, Chris Washington, Andy Washington, Gary Washington Jr. and Ben Wyatt; great grandchild, Christian Washington. Mrs. Washington was a member of the Senior Citizens Center of Odenville and former Mrs. Senior Citizen of St. Clair County. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with burial at Union Methodist Church Cemetery in Westover. Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds directed.
