Sarah died December 18, 1967 in Carroll Co., GA.

She married Jesse Edward Singleton June 24, 1909 in Haralson Co. GA. Jesse was born January 3, 1876 in Rabun Co., GA. Jesse was the son of William Edward Singleton and Clarinda Margaret Green. Jesse died January 23, 1920 in Haralson Co., GA.

Sarah Effie Goldin and Jesse Edward Singleton had the following children:

 20213 i. William Frank11 Singleton was born May 24, 1910.

 20214 ii. Sara Belle Singleton was born in Draketown, Haralson Co. GA December 11, 1911. Sara died March 30, 2005 in Temple, Carroll Co., GA. Sara never married.

 20215 iii. Clarinda Margaret Singleton was born in Draketown, Haralson Co. GA November 3, 1915. Clarinda died August 8, 2007 in Temple, Carroll Co., GA. OBIT: Dr. C. Margaret Singleton, 91 of John Golden Road, Temple passed away August 8, 2007.

Dr. Singleton was born on November 3, 1915 in Haralson County, Georgia the daughter of the late Jesse Edward Singleton and Effie Goldin Singleton.

A retired Registered Nurse and educator. At the age of 12, she decided she wanted to become a nurse. After graduating from Draketown High School and North Georgia College in Dahlonega, Dr. Singleton received her R.N. from Emory University Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She later received a Bachelor’s in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Master of Education and Doctorate in Education from The University of Georgia, Athens. She helped to organize the School of Practical Nursing in Carrollton in 1962 and in 1968, the school became a part of the program at Carroll Tech. She also taught the first EMT Class in the West Georgia Area.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Sara Singleton, Brother, Frank Singleton, sister in law, Mary Singleton, nephew and niece, Jimmy and Bonnie Singleton.

Survivors include nephews, Dwight and Doris Singleton of Draketown and Tony Singleton of Alabama; and niece, Sylvia and Roger Osborn of Temple.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 9, 2007, between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 10, 2007, at 2 p.m. from Draketown Baptist Church with Charles Vaughn and Linda Woollum officiating and providing music. Jeff Singleton, Chad Singleton, Chris Singleton, Jason Singleton, Gary Singleton and Mark Osborn will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Draketown Baptist Church Cemetery.

Margaret never married.
