Clay died June 21, 1941 in Omaha, Douglas Co., NE. OBIT: Clay Allgood, 78, formerly of Peru, Neb., died Tuesday at a local hospital. A retired gardener, he had lived last four months with a daughter, Mrs. George W. Nielsen, 4670 Poppleton avenue. Also surviving: Daughers, Mrs. John R. McGuire, Mrs. George Evans, Council Bluffs; sons, Gene, Harry, Clarence, Chicago; five grandchildren; four great-granchildren. Services: Friday, 2 p.m., Braily & Borrance chapel; burial, Walnut Hill cemetery, Council Bluffs. Clay is buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery.

He married Alice (Alie) May Knepher March 6, 1887 in Brownville, Nemaha Co., NE. Alice was born May 1865 in Brownville, Nemaha Co., NE. Alice was the daughter of Henry T. Knepher and Mary Bremmel. Alice died December 13, 1904 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., IA. In 1910 Clay was living with his daughter and her husband in Mills Co., IA

 771 iv. Eugene Lloyd Allgood was born in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., IA January 31, 1895. Eugene died July 29, 1971 in Chicago, Cook Co., Il.

 772 v. Harvey (Harry) James Allgood was born in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., IA September 26, 1896. Harvey died August 28, 1971 in Bourbon, Marshall Co., IN. He married Martha Frances Dorsch 1939. Martha was born March 29,1900 in IL. Martha was the daughter of Johseph John Dorsch and Jujlia Gohwinski. Martha died May 21, 1987 in Plmouth, Marshall Co., IN.

 773 vi. Gladys Marie Allgood was born April 26, 1897.

 774 vii. Clarence Allgood was born in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., IA February 5, 1900. Clarence died November 27, 1971.

 775 viii. Baby Allgood was born in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., IA October 28, 1903. Baby died 1903.
