She is survived by a son Robert Lathrop, of Phoenix; stepdaughter, Carol Powers of Omaha; two daughter-in-laws; three grandchildren, eight great - grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Opal was buried along side her second husband, Joseph RalphTrimble in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe, Iowa.
She married twice. She married Harry Hicklin Lathrop in Oskaloosa, Mahaska Co., IA. Harry was born 1913. Harry died 1965. She married Joseph Ralph Trinkle. Joseph was born in IN. Joseph died 1966. Opal retired from the Maytag Co. in Newton and lived in Monroe, IA
