He married Koyka Suzuki. Koyka was born March 10, 1932. Koyka was the daughter of Cyodi Suzuki and Tomeko Fukuda. Koyka died March 24, 2007 in Bainbridge, Decatur Co., GA.

James Wallace Ponder and Koyka Suzuki had the following children:
