He married Susan Alice Waggner December 30, 1937. Susan was born October 10, 1919 in Holt Co., MO. Susan was the daughter of Louie L. Waggner and Cathryn Hughes. Susan died April 19, 2006 in Craig, Holt Co., MO. Obit: Mound City, Mo. — Susan A. Hinkle, 86, Mound City, formerly of Bigelow, Mo., passed away on Wednesday morning, April 19, 2006 at a Mound City care center.
Susan attended Fortescue, Mo., high school.
On Dec. 30, 1937, she married Leroy “Pete” Hinkle; and they became the parents of three children. The Hinkles farmed in Holt County, Mo. Pete passed away in 2001.
In addition to her husband, Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie L. and Catherine A. (Hughes) Waggoner; brothers, Alvin, Allen and Samuel Waggoner; and a grandson, Nathan Hinkle.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth S. “Betty” and Paul F. Clark of Tucson, Ariz.; son, John L. Hinkle of Mound City; and son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Debbie Hinkle of Craig, Mo.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Mound City. Inurnment: Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City. Memorials: Mound City United Methodist Church.
LeRoy A. Hinkle and Susan Alice Waggner had the following children:
