William died August 18, 2008 in Sherman, Grayson Co., TX.

He married Reva Annette Greenwood August 14, 1949 in El Reno, Canadian Co., OK. Reva was born September 8,1928 in Abilene, Taylor Co., TX. Reva was the daughter of Hutson Afner Greenwood and Thelma (____). Reva died January 29, 2014 in Sherman, Grayson Co., TX. OBIT: Annette Greenwood Haws was born September 8, 1928 in Abilene Texas to Hutson and Thelma Greenwood. She counted El Reno, Oklahoma as her home town having graduated High School there.She held a professional secretary certificate from Draughon's School of Business in Oklahoma City, and worked many years in the insurance industry.Annette and William F. Haws were married August 14, 1949 in El Reno, Oklahoma, and their life together included many career transfers to new locations.During the late 1950's until 1972, Annette and family lived in Sherman, Texas where she was a homemaker and career woman employed by Paul Carter Insurance Agency, while being active in Scouting as a Den mother, Camp Fire Girls as a group leader, Women's Society of Christian Service, and most memorably as a member of the choir at Key Memorial Methodist church.Her astounding, rich, beautiful soprano voice was lifted in praise in many services including worship, weddings, and funerals. Anyone who heard her use this spiritual gift was blessed by an encounter with the divine.Annette was spiritually advanced on many levels and openly shared her many spiritual experiences, including deep meditation and a phenomenon known as "quaking" during prayer, when the Spirit flowed through her.In 1972, she and Bill moved to Ft. Worth as a result of his job transfer with IBM.In Ft. Worth she worked for Jim Horton Insurance agency, and began to pursue wide and varied interests which included Unity Church, A.R.E, volunteer work for a small local Opera company, taking extensions courses in yoga and tap and ballroom dancing, joining a ballroom dance club, and serving in several capacities for the Insurance Women of the Metroplex organization. In 1984 she was named Insurance Woman of the Year. Upon her retirement Annette remained vibrant and active, enjoying her family and extended friends in all types of fellowship, such as holiday and birthday celebrations and brunches, luncheons and card playing parties. In 1978 she had her First Annual 49th Birthday party, a tradition which continued for nearly 20 years. The groups of friends she enjoyed time with included her "Spa" Ladies, her "Golden Girls" and a chapter of the Red Hat Society.As Bill's health failed, she became involved more as his primary care taker and in 2002, Annette and Bill returned to Sherman to reside with their daughter, Debbi Stephens. Bill preceded her in death in 2008.Annette is survived by her children: Buster Haws and wife Melanie of Fort Worth, Debbi Stephens of Sherman, Ron Haws and wife Anna of Hurst, grandchildren: Rachael Watson and husband Michael of Arlington, Edward Stephens of Sherman, Sarah Olson and husband Eric of Little Elm, Jennifer Brown and fiance Tyler Rowe of Fort Worth, and greatgrandchildren Gabe and Caleb Watson of Arlington, plus Brooklyn Olson, due to arrive in the next few days.Annette left the physical body on January 29, 2014 under the care of hospice. Arrangements for cremation are with Waldo Funeral Home, with a family memorial celebration to be held later
