She married Robert Tayylor Hale March 9,1894 in edgar co. Robert was born February 7,1875 in Flat Gap, Johnson Co., KY. Robert was the son of Thomas Hale and Nancy Jane Hatchet. Robert died January 31, 1960 in Clinton, Vermillion Co., IN.

Mary Jane Staggs and Robert Tayylor Hale had the following children:

 2382 i. Savannah Georgia⁹ Hale was born Decemmber 29, 1894.

 2383 ii. William Jennings Hale was born January 9, 1897.

 2384 iii. Cecil R Hale was born 1902.

 2385 iv. Walter C. Hale was born in IL September 20,1905. Walter died May 5, 1986 in Belleville, Saint Clair Co., IL.

 2386 v. Ruth T. Hale was born Noivember 27,1909.

 2387 vi. Dorothy Elnore Hale was born September 7, 1913.
