486. John Wesley⁷ Blacketter (John Henry⁶, Elizabeth (Betsy)⁵ Allgood, Ishmael⁴, Edward³, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born in Bartholomew Co. IN September 29, 1840. John died October 22, 1927 in Pike Co., IL.

He married twice. He married Nancy Jane Hamilton March 12, 1861 in Pike Co., IL. Nancy was born December 24, 1839. He married Nancy Jane Earls March 7, 1875. Nancy was born February 12, 1845. Nancy died January 18, 1878.

John Wesley Blacketter and Nancy Jane Hamilton had the following children:

 2138 i. Henry⁸ Blacketter was born on (birth date unknown).

 2139 ii. Martha Melvina Blacketter was born abt 1862.

 2140 iii. Cora Belle Blacketter was born Decembser 4, 1867.

 2141 iv. William John Blacketter was born 1870.
