Fred died September 18, 1999 in Sandy, Salt Lake Co., UT. Fred Taggart, 48, passed away September 18, 1999, after his courageous fight with cancer. He was born in Hot Springs, SD, on February 1, 1951, to Edward and Margie Taggart. He worked many years for Alta View Hospital as an engineer. His family and friends feel very blessed to have been touched by the uniqueness of Fred. His love for the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, he enjoyed with his close friends Steve and Glen. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Joanie; stepchildren, Andrea, Gina, and Chad Vandall, Sandy; parents, Edward and Margie Taggart, Hot Springs, SD; son, David (Penny); grandsons, Joshua and Skylar, Moscow, ID; daughter, Margie (Jason) Kleemeyer; granddaughters, Amanda and Brianna, Douglas, WY; daughter, Audrey Taggart, Salt Lake City; sisters, Kathy (Al) Doorneweerd, Aurora, CO, Tana Nash, Cleveland, OH; cousin, Dennis DeLashmutt, WA; and close friends Steve Bertoch and Glen Roderick. The family is grateful to those who have given us their love and support during Fred's illness, especially to Dr. LeGrande Belnap. A viewing for Fred's family and friends will be held Tuesday, September 21, 1999, from 7-9 p.m. at the Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State St., Midvale. Graveside services will be held in Pringle, South Dakota. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your favorite charity.
