57772 iii. Sara Michelle Tyler was born in Redding, Shasta Co., CA August 20, 1995. Sara died May 2, 1998 in Camp Pendleton, CA. Sara Michele Tyler was killed on May 2, 1999 by older boys that set a fire in a garage on Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, CA. The boys were playing with fire when Jesse and Sara and their friend entered he garage by way of an open vent that should have been covered by military maintenance. The boys put Sara in a cupboard to keep her out of their way and when the fire got out of hand, they went out through the hole leaving Sara in the cupboard unable to get down. Her brother Jesse, tried to get her to jump but she was too afraid. Help did not arrive until it was to late for little Sara.
