BASTROP - Robert "R.L." Rallinson Sr., a retired meat inspector with the state of Louisiana, died Sunday. The funeral is 2 p.m. today at Golden Funeral Home chapel, Bastrop. Burial is at Mer Rouge Cemetery, Mer Rouge.
He married Verna Mae Smith February 14, 1947 in Green, LA. Verna was born October 21, 1929. Verna was the daughter of Samuel Percy Smith and Annie Lee (___). Verna died October 13, 2006 in Morehouse Parish, LA. After Verna and R. L. divorced, she remarried and later separated.At this she again began using the name of Rallinson.
