Virginia died May 17, 2004 in Ball, Rapides Parish, LA. Services for Mrs. Virginia Ates Thibodeaux will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2004 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville, with Reverends Kenneth Murrell and Clyde Grammon officiating. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery, Pollock.
Mrs. Thibodeaux, 76, of Pineville died Monday, May 17, 2004, in Hilltop Nursing Home.
She was a member of Wardville Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Preceded in death by her husband, Nathan R. Thibodeaux; parents, Andrew Jackson and Thelma Johnson Cranford; brother, Gordon Cranford; and sister, Helen Marie Bullitt.
Those left to cherish her memory include her first husband, C.L. Ates, Jr. of Wilmington, N.C.; sons, James C. Ates of Edensburg, Pa., and Donald R. Ates of Pineville, La.; daughters, Odessa Walbeck of Nanty Glo, Pa., and Dianne Bush of Pineville, La.; and sister, Joyce Greer of Denham Springs, La.
Friends may call Wednesday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville, from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time.
She married four times. She married Nathan Ray Thibodeaux. Nathan was born December 8, 1927. Nathan died February 1987 in Alexandria, Rapides Parrish, LA. Ray was buried in the Redland Cemetery, Pollock, LA
She married Edward B. (Bootsie) Bullitt 1947 in Alexandria, Rapides Parrish, LA. Edward was born August 1, 1929 in Hodge, Jackson Parish, LA. Edward was the son of Jack (Junior) Bullitt and Iva Yates. Edward died April 22, 1987 in Natchitoches, Natchitoches Parish, LA.
