James died December 5, 2006 in Dexter, MO. Obit: Services for James Harrison Algood, 82, of Calvert City will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home with the Revs. C.C. Brasher and Monte Hodges officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Mr. Algood died at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at Cypress Point Nursing Home in Dexter, Mo.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he retired from Texas Gas and was a member of Briensburg Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Jim Algood of Dexter; one sister, Lou Ella Coleman of Greenville, Tenn.; and one grandson, Jeremy Algood of Bernie, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Atheline Harper Algood; one son, Alan Dale Algood; and one daughter, Margaret Elaine Algood.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He married Mary Altheline Harper. Mary was born July 20, 1924. Mary died November 9, 1999 in Calvert City, Marshall Co., KY. Mary was buried in the Mary was buried in the Bethlehem Cemetery , Palma, Marshall Co., KY
James Harrison Algood and Mary Altheline Harper had the following children:

27530 iii. Alan Dale Algood was born September 30, 1960. Alan died May 28, 1998 in Marshall Co., KY. Alan was an adopted child.
