KY May 17, 1928. James died November 21, 2002 in Paducah, McCracken Co, KY. OBIT: James Edward Shoulta, 74, of Paducah died at 12:35 a.m. Thursday at his home.
He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He was retired from Illinois Central Railroad and owned and operated Quick Service Garbage Disposal.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Morland Shoulta; five daughters, Sharon Parks and Lana Bastian, both of Paducah, Charlotte Young of Boonville, Ind., Margaret Roof of West Paducah, and Kelly Sloan of Bloomington, Ind.; two sisters, Shirley Henderson of Draffenville and June Kaufman of Paducah; one brother, Roscoe Shoulta of Paducah; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother. His parents were Richard A. Shoulta and Hazel Staton Shoulta.
Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. The Rev. Phil Riney will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Paducah, where prayers will be said at 7 p.m.

He married Dorothy Jean Morland June 28, 1948. Dorothy was born April 17, 1930 in McCracken Co., KY. Dorothy was the daughter of Mary Margaret Zeller. Dorothy died February 2, 2007 in Paducah, McCracken Co, KY.
