He married Lucy C. (Aunt Babe) Darnell March 18,1869 in Elmore Co., AL. Lucy was born 1850. Lucy died 1921 in Pell City, St Clair Co., AL.

George Washington Macon and Lucy C. (Aunt Babe) Darnell had the following child:

 2931 i. John Henry⁹ Macon was born February 29, 1872.
