Peggy died April 16, 2004 in Des Moines, Polk Co., IA. Obit :Peggy Spratt, 69, of Oskaloosa, died Friday, April 16, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. According to her wishes, she has been cremated and no visiting hours or services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to her family, or to the American Diabetes Association. Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa is in charge of arrangements. Peggy was born Nov. 24, 1934, in Oskaloosa to Ralph and Mildred Sage Wymore. On Feb. 11, 1950, she married Samuel R. Spratt in Oskaloosa. She was a homemaker, and provided child care in her home, and also raised foster children. She had attended First Assembly of God Church and the Good News Chapel in Oskaloosa. Her main delight was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her yard, mushroom hunting and fishing. She is survived by her husband, Sam Spratt, of Oskaloosa; two daughters: Sally (and Robert) Evans and Mary Spratt, all of Oskaloosa; five grandchildren, including Stacie Spratt, whom they raised; six great-grandchildren; and five sisters and brothers-in-law: Patty and Bob Pryor of Oskaloosa, Shirley and Allen Stevens of Delta, Barbara "Kay" and Gary Allgood, Beverly and Gene Pitt, and Vicky and Dan Zickel, all of Oskaloosa; and two brothers-in-law: Richard Stewart of Denver, Colo., and Harvey Luzadder of Oskaloosa. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Sam Spratt Jr.; an infant brother, Billy Wymore; and two sisters: Sandra "Sue" Luzadder and Betty Stewart.
She married Samuel (Sam) Rodman. Spratt February 11, 1950 in Oskaloosa, Mahaska Co., IA. Samuel was born October 1, 1932 in Mahaska Co., IA. Samuel was the son of Roy B Spratt and Ethel L Gott. Samuel died December 1, 2020 in Oskaloosa, Mahaska Co., IA.
