Foye died January 27, 2004 in Centre, Cherokee Co., AL. Obit: Mrs. Foye Elma Mobbs, age 78 of Cedar Bluff, Al passed away Tuesday January 27, 2004 at Cherokee Co. Nursing Home, following an extended illness. She was a native of Gaylesville, Al, a Nurses Aid and of Baptist Faith. She was the daughter of the late Jessie and Dovie Gaskey Wheeling. She wa preceded in death by husband, Joe L. Mobbs and a son, Quinton L. Mobbs. Funeral services will be 2 pm Thursday, January 29, 2004 at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stanley Koonce officiating. Burial in Lawrence Cemetery, Active Pallbearers will be Hubert Wheeling, Donnie Edwards, Freddie Mackway, Dale Lawson, Bob Wheeling. Honorary Pallbearers, Woodrow Wheeling. Survivors include daughter; Barbara Miller, Centre, Al, Elaine (Donnie) Edwards, Leesburg, Al; sons: Michael Mobbs, Rome, Ga, Billy (Kathy) Mobbs, Gaylesville, Al. Brother; James Clifford Wheeling, Cedar Bluff, AL, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, Several nieces and nephews. The body will remain at the Funeral Home through the hour of service. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 pm. Jordan Home Directing.

She married Joe L. Mobbs September 2, 1939 in Cherokee Co, AL. Joe was born May 11, 1920 in Cherokee Co, AL. Joe was the son of George Henry Mobbs and Lola Mae Storey. Joe died October 11,1983 in Centre, Cherokee Co., AL. Job Mobbs was buried at the Lawrence/Demaris Cemetery near Cedar Bluff, Cherokee Co., AL
