7435 ii. Doyne Maria Staggs was born in Marshall, Parke Co., IN July 24,1927. Doyne died September 19, 2000 in Apache Junction, Pinal Co., AZ. She married John William Wonders July 3,1952. John was born February 23, 1927 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN. John was the son of William Wonders and Clara Julia Schmidt. John died January 3, 2002 in Apache Junction, Pinal Co., AZ. OBIT: John William Wonders, 74, Apache Junction, Ariz., and formerly of Indianapolis, died 4:10 a.m. Thursday in Westview Hospital, Indianapolis.Mr. Wonders was a retired carpenter. He served in the Navy during World War II. His memberships included Carpenters Union in Arizona and Veterans of Foreign Wars.He was born Feb. 23, 1927, at Indianapolis, to William Wonders and Clara Julia Schmidt Holmes. He married Doyne Marie Staggs on July 3, 1952. She died Sept. 19, 2000.Survivors include three stepgrandsons, one great-grandchild, five nephews and four nieces.Two sisters and a stepson are deceased.Funeral services are scheduled 1 p.m. Saturday in Barnes Mortuary, 111 E. High St., Rockville, with the Rev. Richard Workman officiating. Burial will be in Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville.
