Virginia died February 12, 2006 in Bradenton, Manatee Co., FL. Obit: Virginia M. Bond of Bedford, IN, died Feb. 12 at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Fla. Born on June 22, 1923, in Dana, IN, she was the daughter of Earl and Espa Thompson. She married Marion “Eddie” Bond at the Central Church of Christ in Bedford on April 18, 1969, and he survives.
Surviving with her husband are two sons: Larry Bond and his wife, Fran, and Gary L. Bond and wife, Angela, all of Bedford, IN; two daughters: Sheila Davis and husband, Mike, of Bedford, IN, and Diana L. Phebus and husband, Ben, of Evansville, IN; nine grandchildren: Brandt Davis, Jace Davis, Maggie and Mollie Bond, Bret, Trent and Drew Phebus, and Codey and Hope Bond; and one brother, Karl Thompson, Lafayette, IN. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Max Thompson; one sister, Grace Kelley; one daughter in infancy and three grandsons.
She was the former owner and founder of Bedford Mobile Homes, Inc. in Bedford. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Bedford, Eastern Star of Indianapolis, Bedford Boat & Sportsman Club and NASCAR Racing Wives Auxiliary.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cresthaven Funeral Home in Bedford. Entombment will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Cresthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery, Bedford, Lawrence Co., IN Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
