He married Dorothy R Hashman December 24, 1925 in Bartholomew Co., IN. Dorothy was born November 28;,1906 in Columbus, Bartholomew Co., IN. Dorothy was the daughter of William A. Hashman and Margaret E. Spaulding. Dorothy died March 9, 1999 in Columbus, Bartholomew Co., IN. OBIT: Dorothy R. McFeron, 92, of Columbus died at 8:16 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at Columbus Regional Hospital emergency room.
She retired from the former CP Electronics, was a member of East Columbus United Methodist Church and Bartholomew County Senior Center and did volunteer work with Columbus Regional Hospital Auxiliary.
Funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Leslie Bearden officiating. Calling will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the mission fund at East Columbus United Methodist Church.
Mrs. McFeron was born in Columbus Nov. 28, 1906, the daughter of William A. and Margaret E. Spaulding Hashman. She married John McFeron Dec. 24, 1925. He died Nov. 28, 1968.
She is survived by a daughter, Judith McFeron, and a son, John McFeron Jr., both of Columbus; a brother, Everett Hashman of Indianapolis; a sister, Edith McGarr of Oklahoma; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Jean McFeron; a brother, Robert Earl Hashman; and a sister, Grace Brooks.
John M. McFeron and Dorothy R Hashman had the following children:
