6375. Dee Wayne9 Rodgers (Malinda Mae8 Childers, William Fletcher7, Elizabeth6 Allgood, John5, Ishmael4, Edward3, William2, Edward1 Algood) was born in Erath Co., TX January 1, 1908. Dee died November 25, 2002 in Marble Falls, Burnet Co., TX. OBIT: DEE WAYNE RODGERS, 94, died on November 25, 2002 in Llano, Texas. Burial was at Alameda Cemetery in Ranger.
Mr. Rodgers was born on January 25, 1908 in Erath County, Texas to Charles and Melinda (Childers) Rodgers. He married Agnes L. Weekes on January 5, 1932 in Ranger. She preceded him in death on December 7, 2000. Mr. Rodgers was a farmer most of his life, but sometimes had to work outside the farm. He worked in the oil field in West Texas for a while and was a burner at the Featherlite plant in Ranger for several years. He was a longtime member of the Mesquite and Rusk Street Church of Christ in Ranger until moving to Marble Falls, where he became a member of the Marble Fallas Church of Christ.
Survivors at the time of his death include his daughter, Janet Graves and husband Don of Marble Falls; one brother, Pete Rodgers of Eastland; one sister, Jayne Rogers of Ranger; one sister-in-law, Eunice Love of Gorman; grandchildren, Mark Graves and wife Melissa of San Marcos, Cheryl McDuffie and husband Shawn of Magnolia, Texas, Jana Graves of Austin, Amy Hoven and husband Chuck of Monroeville, Alabama; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Leon in September, 1998 and Donald in September, 2000.
He married Agnes L. Weekes January 5, 1932 in Ranger, Eastland Co., TX. Agnes was born 1910 in Eastland Co., TX. Agnes was the daughter of David C. Weekes and Julia M. (__). Agnes died December 7, 2000. Agnes was buried in the Alameda Cemetery Ranger Eastland County, TX along side Dee Wayne her husband.
