Randolph died April 18, 2001 in Richmond, Henrico Co., VA. OBIT: Randolph Cary Cook departed this life on April 18, 2001. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cary Cook of Covington, Georgia. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Newell Lough Cook; a son, Randolph Cary Cook Jr. of Tucson, Arizona; a daughter, Charlotte Nancy Cook; two stepsons and their wives, Allen and Carol Lough, and Tim and Sue Lough; a brother, Winston Noel Cook and his wife, Mary of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean conflict and attained the rank of major in the Air Force. Mr. Cook was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and had been an active Methodist all of his life. There will be a service of remembrance at Trinity United Methodist Church at 12 noon on Saturday, April 21, 2001. Family will receive friends in the parlor immediately following the service.

He married three times. He married Nancy Lee Newell. Nancy was born December 26, 1919. Nancy died June 1987 in Alexandria, Alexandria Co., VA. He married Charlotte Octavia Jones. Charlotte was born August 30, 1920 in Brunswick Co, ViA. Charlotte died Decembe 14,1972 in Richmond Co., VA. He married Nancy Newell Lough January 27,1973 in Richmond, Henrico Co., VA. Nancy was born December 26, 1919. Nancy was the daughter of John Clay Newell and Ida Pearce. Nancy died April 16, 2014. OBIT: COOK, Nancy Newell Lough "Nana," 94, of Richmond, born December 26, 1919, departed this life April 16, 2014. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Simmons Lough; and her second husband, Randolph Cary Cook. She is survived by two sons, Allen Lough (Carol) and Tim Lough (Suzanne); and one stepdaughter, C. Nancy Cook (Rives); stepson, Cary Cook; three grandchildren, Simmons Lough (Jeannie), Meredith Mason (Ryan) and Mason Lough (Courtney); one stepgrandchild, Courtney Morris (Faith); seven great-grandchildren, and other loved family members. Nancy was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church since 1957, where she taught Sunday school and was active in the Woman's Society. Formerly a member of the Commonwealth Woman's Club and Rollingwood Garden Club, she later was a member of the Tuckahoe Woman's Club, the Brandon Woman's Club and the VMFA. She was fond of flowers and flower arranging and loved her many Bridge clubs. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining, and was an accomplished and gracious hostess. For many years, she was a volunteer driver for the ladies at the Richmond Home for Ladies (now Covenant Woods). During her last 10 years, she enjoyed the residents and staff in her retirement community at St. Mary's Woods. After a life of service to others, her family was privileged to return the favor and enjoyed many hours of "driving Miss Nancy." She was a beloved friend and mother figure to many during her 94 years. There will be a memorial service in the mausoleum at Westhampton Memorial Park on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Following the service, a reception will be held at 3233 Kensington Ave. until 3:30 p.m.
