16868. Audrey Allene10 Wood (Annie9 Joines, Samantha Jane8 Allgood, William J.7, Richard J.6, John5, Ishmael4, Edward3, William2, Edward1 Algood) was born in Ryan, Bryan Co., OK July 11, 1922. Audrey died February 20, 2006 in Hawkins, Wood Co., TX. OBIT: Audrey Wood Olds passed away Monday, February 20, 2006, at her home at Holly Lake Ranch in Wood County. She was born July 11, 1922, in Caddo, Oklahoma, to the late General Lee and Annie Joines Wood. Mrs. Olds attended Draughon's Business College in Dallas and moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she worked for the federal government. She then met and married James A. Olds. They had two children while in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They later moved to Midland, Texas, where she was employed by Shell Oil Company. She retired from Shell Oil Co. in 1978. She moved to Longview in 1978 and went to work for Robert L. Cargill Sr. She retired from Cargill Co. in 1993. In 1995, she moved to Holly Lake Ranch. She was a member of First United Methodist Church while in Longview, and Holly Tree Chapel at Holly Lake Ranch. Mrs. Olds volunteered for Hawkins Helping Hands for eight years. She enjoyed quilting and sewing. She was a member of the Holly Lake Sew-and-Go Club, The Guild of Holly Lake, and the W.E.B., a widows group. These groups gave of their time to help others. Mrs. Olds was preceded in death by her husband, James Adrian Olds Sr. She is survived by her son, James Adrian Olds Jr. and his wife, Cindy, of Houston; daughter, Sharon Olds Littlejohn and her husband, Garry, of Holly Lake Ranch; granddaughter, Season Holly Olds of Houston; grandsons, J.B. Littlejohn and his wife, Corie, of Graford, Mike and Eddie Olds of Houston; and two great-granddaughters, Makena Annalea Littlejohn and Kyler Cambree Littlejohn, both of Graford. She is also survived by three sisters; two brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2006, at the Holly Tree Chapel at Holly Lake Ranch, with the Rev. Charles Reese officiating. Burial will be in the Holly Tree Cemetery, under the direction of Beaty Funeral Home in Hawkins. Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening, February 22, 2006, at the funeral home
She married James Adrian Olds. James was born October 1, 1921 in Ryan, Bryan Co., OK. James was the son of James Adrian Olds and Alta May Hershman. James died October 18, 1988 in Longview, Gregg Co., TX.
