James died April 17, 2007 in Comer, Madison Co., GA. OBIT: James Frank Stainback, Jr., 86, died April 17, 2007. A native of Atlanta, he was the son of the late Dr. James Frank Stainback, Sr., a prominent Atlanta dentist, and Willie Mae Speers Stainback, dietician for Garden Hills Grammar School. Frank began a 50 year banking career with First National Bank of Atlanta, retiring from Commercial Bank, Crawford, in 1989. Memorial services will be Friday, April 20, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST, with Rev. Benson Bottoms officiating. Interment will be at Athens Memory Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Betty Day Stainback; children, Cathy Elizabeth Underwood, of Newnan, J. Frank Stainback, III, of Pooler, Diane Stainback Burns and Lee Ann Stainback-Crumley, of Comer; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He married twice. He married an unknown person.
