Frankie died December 13, 2011 in Colquitt Co., GA. OBIT: Frankie Louise Canon Hembree, 87, of Ticknor Road, Doerun, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, at Agape Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at First Baptist Church of Doerun with the Rev. David Benton officiating and the Rev. Billy Wilkes assisting. Interment will follow in Doerun Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Matt Tillery, Brandon Tarrant, Darrell Hembree, Drew Tillery, Jake Thomason and Blake Wilson.
Born Feb. 20, 1924, in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Miles L. Canon and Ione Stainbach Canon. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Doerun.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Jackson Hembree; one brother, Tom Canon; one sister, Elizabeth Hathcock.
Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Denby and husband Charles of Doerun and Abbie Bunch and husband L.D. of Lavonia, Ga.; one brother, M.L. Canon of Albany; six grandchildren, Greg Tillery, Molly Handfield, Missy Holmes, Leigh Andra Wilkes, Mandy Tarrant and Marla Thomason; 14 great-grandchildren, Blake Wilson, Clint Handfield, Ryan Holmes, Brandon Tarrant, Matt Tillery, Brittany Hickey, Drew Tillery, Tiffany Dennis, Jason Holmes, Kelsie Tarrant, Dreyk Tarrant, Kylie Wilkes, Jacob Thomason and Elijah Thomason; five great-great-grandchildren, Addi Dennis, Balan Wilson, Wilkes Dennis, Kellan Hickey and Cooper Handfield.
She married Arthur Jackson Hembree. Arthur was born May 22, 1920. Arthur died March 18, 2004.
Frankie Louise Canon and Arthur Jackson Hembree had the following children:
