He married Shelby Jean Harris. Shelby was born August 16, 1937 in Henderson, Vance Co., NC. Shelby was the daughter of Fredrick Lee Harris and Mary Elizabeth Byrd. Shelby died May 30, 2005 in Henderson, Vance Co., NC. OBITL Shelby Harris Renn, 67, of 475 Epsom-Rocky Ford Road, died Monday, May 30, 2005, at her home. Mrs. Renn was a homemaker. She previously worked at several local tobacco warehouses. She was a member of Liberty Christian Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Liberty Christian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are two sons, Jonathan McCoy Renn and Christopher Allen Renn; two sisters, Elsie H. Strange and Bertha H. Williams. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Flowers Funeral Home.
