Virginia died June 26, 2011 in Chase City, Mecklenburg Co., VA. OBIT: Mrs. Virginia Callahan Tucker, 83, of Lunenburg, passed on June 26, 2011, in Chase City.

She grew up in Mecklenburg County, married Lewis Carl Tucker and moved to Lunenburg, where they farmed and raised four daughters.

Virginia is survived by her daughters Jacqueline Tucker Seamster and husband Bruce of Kenbridge, Barbara Tucker Flippen of Blackstone, Cecelia Tucker Coleman and husband Johnny of Lunenburg, Marie Tucker Diveley and husband Jonathan of Richmond, Va. and a sister, Cornelia Callahan Watterson and husband Douglas.

She is also survived by four grandsons: Geoffrey Lewis Seamster, William Tunstall Flippen III, Stephen Tucker Flippen and wife Kate, and Tucker Kirill Diveley and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers Gray, Aaron, David and two sisters Rosa and Ida Leigh.

Virginia was a loving and devoted wife, mom and grandmother. She loved life and was happiest visiting with her family and friends and working in her flower garden. She was a faithful servant of the Lord. Her family is blessed to have numerous cherished memories of Virginia.

She married Lewis Carl tucker. Lewis was born July 27, 1923. Lewis died Sseptembe 4,1978 in Mecklenburg Co, VA.

Virginia Calahan and Lewis Carl tucker had the following children:
