She married Chester (Chettt) Pointer. Chester was born April 22, 1928 in Haralson Co., GA. Chester died Jujne 18, 2013 in Auburndale, FL. OBIT: Chester Pointer, age 85, of Auburndale, FL Passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013. He was born April 22, 1928 in Haralson County, AL the son of Eli Hugh Pointer and Jessie Mae (Brooks) Pointer. He was a US Army veteran, member of the Christian Heritage church and was self employed as a roofer. In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Jane Pointer and son Ricky Pointer. He is survived by his sons: Kenny (Debbie) Pointer and Steve (Kim) Pointer, daughter: June (Mike) Ashley, sisters: Lillian Coggins and Grace Steele, grandchildren: Jesse, Kenny, and Chase Pointer, Chris and Chad Ashley, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Visitation is Friday, June 21, 2013 from 1-2pm with funeral services at 2:00pm, both at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 645 West Central Avenue, Winter Haven, FL. Burial to follow in Auburndale Memorial Park.
