Richard Oliver (Sonny)¹¹ Hutcheson (Alva Dewey¹⁰, Edward Bailey⁹, Ellen (Ellender)⁸ Hogue, Sarah (Sally) Hudson⁷ Allgood, William A.⁶, John Young⁵, William⁴ Algood, Edward³ Allgood, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born in Buchanan, Haralson Co., GA April 23, 1931. Richard died May 2, 2009 in LaGrange, Troup Co., GA. OBIT: Mr. Richard O. Hutcheson, 78, of LaGrange, died Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Hospice LaGrange.

Mr. Hutcheson was born April 25, 1931 in Buchanan, GA, son of the late Dewey and Annie Ruth Lovvorn Hutcheson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Hutcheson was an engineer in construction management for many years. He was a member of Callaway Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Hamby, and Robert Hutcheson.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Ray Hutcheson of LaGrange; a son, Barry Hutcheson of Valley, AL; a daughter, Teresa (Brian) Harper of LaGrange; four grandchildren, Logan, Alan, Ashley and Caitlyn; two brothers, Josh Hutcheson of Villa Rica and Len Hutcheson of Atlanta; two sisters, Ann Hutcheson of Atlanta and Joyce Hatch of Woodstock; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Callaway Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Jordan officiating. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.

The family will be at their home and will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 this evening.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Callaway Baptist Church, Building Fund (310 John Lovelace Road, LaGrange, GA 30240) in memory of Mr. Richard O. Hutcheson.
