Wynn, Sr; died at 3:00 AM Sunday at Cobb Memorial Hospital after a two week illness. Mrs Wynn was born in Russell County, Ala. May 26, 1902, daughter of JFC and Sara Parsons Newsome. She was a member of Ladonia Baptist Church. Survivors besides her husband incudes four sons, Lee Wynn, US Army, Ft Benning, Ga., Jerry L. Wynn, US Navy, Japan, HR Wynn, Jr and Jimmy Wynn, both of Phenix City; four daughters, Mrs M M Figuett and Miss Lonnie Wynn, both of Phenix City, Mrs CR Brown, Columbus and Mrs GC Miller, Kokomo, Ind.; six brothers, IB, AO, JW, Roland and Harry Newsome, all of Phenix City and JB Newsome, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; six sisters, Mrs Pearl Mote, Mrs WB Porter, Mrs JT Wynn, Mrs BH Riddle, Mrs Lamar Tew and Mrs BJ Hand, all of Phenix City and thirteen grandchildren.
She married Henry Rufus Wynn July 24, 1920. Henry was born June 15, 1894 in Rome, Tallapoosa Co., AL. Henry died May 14, 1973 in Phenix City, Russell Co., AL. Henry is buried at Lakeview Memory Gardens Cemetery.
