230. Robert Clark7 Allgood (Presley6, William (Pikey) Henry5, William John4, Edward3, William2, Edward1 Algood) was born in Surry Co., NC 1811. Robert died December 24, 1853 in Wayne Co., IL.
He married Hannah Buckhannon December 18, 1834 in Orange Co., IN. Hannah was born 1817 in Moxksville, Davidson Co., NC. Hannah died December 1858 in Orange Co, IN.
Robert Clark Allgood and Hannah Buckhannon had the following children:
1056 i. Samuel Austin8 Allgood was born December 18, 1834.
1057 ii. Presely Allgood was born in IN 1835. Presely is deceased. At 25, Pressley is on his own in 1860. That name appears in an 1863 list of Civil War dead. It is unclear that the soldier is the same man, but it appears likely. Robert probably served, too. There is a pension listed for him.
1058 iii. Robert Allgood was born in IN December 1840. Robert died abt 1902 in Bacca Co., CO. Robert went with Lewis to Colorado, He is shown on the 1900 census as living with Lewis and his family in Guy, Jefferson Co., CO. The winter of 1901-1902 was horrible even by early Colorado standards. Three massive blizzards hit. One locks up Denver for nearly a week. There isn't any documentation to show a connection, but by 1902, both Allgood brothers are dead, and buried in the Golden Cemetery. In 1900 Robert was living with his brother Lewis and family in Guy, Jefferson Co., CO
1059 iv. Mary Elizabeth Allgood was born 1843.
1060 v. Margaret Allgood was born in Sailor Springs, Clay Co., IL 1843. Margaret died February 28, 1881. She married Hugh Denning.
1061 vi. Lewis W. Allgood was born May 1, 1848.
1062 vii. John Wesley Allgood was born 1851.
1063 viii. William Clarke Allgood was born March 11, 1854.
