1130. William Houston8 Dudman (Sarah Sally7 Baity, Rebecca6 Allgood, William (Pikey) Henry5, William John4, Edward3, William2, Edward1 Algood) was born in Clay Co., IL June 27, 1863. William died May 6,1935 in Jasper Co., MO. OBIT: W. Huston Dudman, 71, farmer of the Dudman neighborhood, southeast of the city, died suddenly at 4 o'clock this morning at his home. He had been in failing health for some time, but his condition was not regarded as critical. He was stricken suddenly about 10 o'clock last night and died six hours later. W. H. Dudman was born June 27, 1863 in Clay county, Illinois. His father, who was known as "Uncle Billy" Dudman, came to Missouri in 1870, making the trip overland by wagon, and settled in Newton county. He and his family made that their home for seven years and then moved to the neighborhood southeast of the city. Mr. Dudman gave some land to the community for a church and cemetery, and the neighborhood has been known since as the Dudman community. Mr. Dudman was married to Miss Anna Crouse on October 25, 1885. Surviving him, besides his wife, are four daughters, Mrs. W. H. Davis of Los Angeles, CA., Mrs. Austin Grieb of Carl Junction, Mrs. Claire Dodson and Miss Celestine Dudman of Carthage, and two sons, Delbert Dudman of Reeds and Norman Dudman, of Carthage. He was a member of the Dudman Presbyterian church, southeast of the city and of the Modern Woodman of America lodge of Carthage. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Dudman Church, with Dr. George F. Harbour in charge. Burial will be in Dudman Cemetery.
He married Anna Rody Crouse October 25, 1885 in Jasper Co., MO. Anna was born March 15, 1865 in Wilmington, Clinton Co, OH. Anna was the daughter of William Crouse and Susanan Frances (___). Anna died May 7, 1941 in Carthage, Jasper Co., MO.

3917 i. Edna B9 Dudman was born in Carthage, Jasper Co., MO August 23,1887. Edna died November 24,1960 in Los Angeles City, Los Angeles Co., CA. OBIT: Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Davis, former resident of Carthage, who died last Thursday in Los Angeles, Calif., will be at 2 Wednesday afternoon in the Ulmer funeral home. The Rev. Lincoln Bartelsmeyer, Sarcoxie, will officiate. Burial will be in Dudman cemetery, southeast of Carthage. The body of Mrs. Davis arrived here today. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Dudman of southeast of Carthage, Mrs. Davis was a sister of Mrs. Clare Dodson, Reeds, and Mrs. Robert Westbrook, Carthage. She married William Henry Davis.
William was born September 30, 1879 in Reeds, Jasper Co., MO. William died August 22, 1944 in Long Beach, Los Angelas Co., CA.

3922 vi. Althea Wilma Dudman was born in Jasper Co., MO January 1, 1901. Althea died November 9, 1929 in Jasper Co., MO. She married Herschel A Roper November 29 1923 in Carthage, Jasper Co., MO. Herschel was born September 9,1898. Herschel was the son of John W. Roper and Louetta (___). Herschel died June 1983 in Jasper Co., MO.
3923 vii. Ollie Joyce Dudman was born April 17, 1902.
3924 viii. Lola Celestine Dudman was born in Jasper Co., MO August 7, 1905. Lola died December 1976 in Reeds, Jasper Co., MO. She married J Robert Westbrook February 19,1937 in Neosho, Newton Co., MO. J was born February 21, 1902 in MS. J died December 25, 1964 in Carthage, Jasper Co., MO.
