Theda died July 23, 1996 in Freeman, Cass Co., MO. Obit: Theda Eileen Starling, 79, Lake Annette, Mo., a former Picher area resident, died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 1996, at St. Luke's Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo., after an illness. Mrs. Starling was born June 4, 1917, at Joplin, Mo. She moved to the Kansas City area in 1952 from the Douthat community, near Picher. She was a homemaker. She and her husband had raised foster children. She married William Robert Starling in August 1934. He died in April 1989. Survivors include a son, Bobby Starling, Shawnee, Kan.; three daughters, Barbara Kessler and Cindy Bradley, both of Kansas City, and Bonita Reek, Lake Annette; two brothers, Marion Allgood and Jerry Allgood, both of Commerce; two sisters, Gail Keener, rural Miami, and Patsy Raulston, Fort Worth, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Miami. The Rev. Gregory Hunt will officiate. Burial will be in GAR Cemetery, Miami. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.
She married William Robert Starling. William was born November 5, 1910. William died April 20, 1989 in Freeman, Cass Co., MO.
Theda Eileen Allgood and William Robert Starling had the following children:
