291. William (Dick) L.⁷ Hutchens (Lettie⁶ Allgood, William (Pikey) Henry⁵, William John⁴, Edward³, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born in Surry Co. NC November 18, 1832. William died 1871.

He married Letha D. Whitaker. Letha was born June 25, 1834 in Moxksville, Davidson Co., NC. Letha died after 1900. The 1880 census shows Letha as widowed.

William (Dick) L. Hutchens and Letha D. Whitaker had the following children:

 1383 i. James H.⁸ Hutchens was born April 30, 1851.

 1384 ii. Margaret L. Hutchens was born July 1, 1852.

 1385 iii. Samuel Hutchens was born in Moxksville, Davidson Co., NC 1854.

 1386 iv. Lora B. Hutchens was born in Moxksville, Davidson Co., NC 1856.

 1387 v. Henry A. Hutchens was born 1858.

 1388 vi. Clinton Hutchens was born in Moxksville, Davidson Co., NC 1860. Clinton died February 1880 in Moxksville, Davidson Co., NC.

 1389 vii. William (Artie) D. A. Hutchens was born May 18, 1861.
