William died October 31, 2010 in Powder Springs, Cobb Co., GA. OBIT: William Allgood Grissom, 91, of Powder Springs, GA. died Oct. 31, 2010. A longtime Jax. resident, he was born 9/19/1919 in Etowah, TN. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II and the Korean War. He graduated from Vanderbilt University and worked in the printing industry. He was a member of Arlington and Calvin Presbyterian Churches. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Emma Murray Grissom; brother, Edwin (Shirley) Grissom; sister, Sarah Elliott; children, Carol (Ron) Russell, Nancy (Russ) Conger, Bill (Herning) Grissom, David (Pauline) Grissom, Jim (Christiel) Grissom, Diane (Larry) Dean and Tom Grissom; 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Interment at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
