She married Robert James Cheek JR September 13, 1941. Robert was born October 24,1922 in Maysville, Garvin Co., OK. Robert was the son of Robert James Cheek and Hattie Rennie Cowan. Robert died April 6, 2009 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co., OK. OBIT: Robert James Cheek Jr., 86, was born Oct. 24, 1922 at Maysville to Robert James Cheek Sr. and Hattie Cowans Cheek. He died Monday, April 6, 2009 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. Robert was a lifetime resident of Maysville. Robert had earned a living farming and working as a plumber, and had also been employed with Garvin County and the city of Maysville. He was well known for selling watermelons under the shade trees along Highway 74. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 10 at the First Baptist Church in Maysville. Rev. Billy Davenport will officiate with burial in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home of Maysville.
