Richard died May 6, 1993 in Spring Valley, Bureau Co., IL. OBIT: Richard G. Greenwood, 49, of Granville, died at 5 P.M. May 6 at St. Marga ret's Hospital in Spring Valley. Funeral services will be at 6 P.M. Monday at Helmer Shields Funeral Hom e in Granville. A prayer service will be conducted by the Rev. Richard F itzsimmons. Cremation has been accorded. Visitation will be 4-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. He was born in Sterling, Illinois, December 6, 1943 to Gene and Edna (Gal iher) Greenwood. he married Barbara Lang September 2, 1967, in Bloomingt on. He was a chief union steward at Sundstrand and lived in Peru until 1990 , when he moved to Granville. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 285 and coached the girls so ftball league in Peru for many years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. he is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Tom (Nikena) Testa of Peru ; his father and mother; two brothers, Dale of Hennepin and Danny of Gran ville; a sister, Mrs. Duane (Marilyn) Calbow of Mount Palatine.
