Dewey Leo¹¹ Lewis (Cornelious¹⁰, Henry Walter⁹, Sarah Ann Elizabeth⁸ Morris, Richard Ivey⁷, Nancy Elizabeth⁶ Allgood, John Young⁵, William⁴ Algood, Edward³ Allgood, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born in Chilton Co., AL February 3, 1929. Dewey died June 24, 2004 in Washington Co., OR. OBIT: Graveside service for Dewey L. Lewis, 75, of Portland, Ore., will be in Chilton Memorial Gardens, following visitation Thursday between 11 a.m and 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Clanton.

Mr. Lewis, formerly of Sylacauga, died Thursday, June 24, in Portland. His ashes will be brought back to Clanton.

Mr. Lewis was born Feb. 3, 1929, in Clanton, where he was raised. He served seven years in the Air Force. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Birmingham after 30 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Myra Sue Lewis; daughter, Vickie Lewis Parker; son, Stacy Mac Lewis; brother, Cecil Lewis; and one granddaughter.

Martin Funeral Home in Clanton will direct the service
