Opie died September 20, 2006 in Watts, Adair Co., OK. Obit: Opie L. Greathouse, was born September 24, 1913 in Chester, Arkansas to John Wesley and Cora Pearl (Reed) Greathouse. He departed this life on September 20, 2006 at his home in Watts, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years, 11 months and 25 days. Opie married the love of his life, Margaret Morris, she preceded him in death February 11, 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margaret and two sisters. He is survived by his loving family that includes 3 sons; John Greathouse and wife Lee, Bob Greathouse and wife Carolyn, and Clark Greathouse and wife Nina. 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by serveral nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday, September 25, 2006 in the Roberts Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jim Beavers and Bro. Tim Estes officiating. Interment followed in the Bell Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Westville, OK.
He married Margaret Morris. Margaret was born December 20, 1915 in Watts, Adair Co., OK. Margaret was the daughter of Robert Lee Morris and Tennessee Mench. Margaret died February 11, 2001 in Tahlequah, OK. Margaret was buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery, West Siloam Springs, OK
