James died January 26, 1999 in Springfield, Sangamon Co., IL. Obit: James Robert Brown, 69, of Springfield died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born Dec. 27, 1929, in Iuka, the son of Larkin L. and Leska P. Linder Brown. Mr. Brown, a U.S. Navy veteran, retired as a salesman in the Chicago area. Survivors: two sons, James and Ronald; two daughters, Gwen and Sonja; several grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Nichols of Springfield and Thelma Edge of Bloomington; two brothers, Charles R. Brown of Springfield and Arthur Brown of Diamond Head, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Bisch and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
