Warren died January 7, 2006 in Bonner Springs, Wyandotte Co., KS. Obit: Warren J. Passler Sr., 75, of Bonner Springs, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Edwardsville Cemetery. The family with receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30p.m.
Mr. Passler was born on Oct. 12, 1931, in Kansas City, Mo. He had lived his entire life in the Kansas City and Bonner Springs areas. He was married to his wife, Madeline Passler, at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Kansas City, Mo., where he had served as an altar boy while growing up and attending church there.
He started his working career by working in his family's Industrial Ice Company at the age of 11. He also had worked at the Westport Powerhouse for nine years and the Kansas City Beef Company for four years. He then became a truck driver and drove for Jacob's Truck Line for 14 years and IML Trucking for 7 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Madeline Passler, in 2003, a brother, Samuel Passler, and a sister, Mary Passler. He is survived by one son, Warren J. Passler Jr., and wife Annett of Bonner Springs; a daughter, Kay Schierbaum, Kansas City, Kan.; two brothers, Marion Passler Jr. of Kansas City, Kan., and Charles Passler of Edwardsville, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He married Madeline H. (___) 1946. Madeline was born May 3, 1929. Madeline died January 21, 2003 in Bonner Springs, Wyandotte Co., KS. Obit: Memorial services for Mrs. Madeline H. Passler were Friday, Jan. 24, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Burial followed in Edwardsville Cemetery. There was a visitation Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Passler, 73, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Providence Medical Center.
Mrs. Passler was born May 3, 1979, in Kansas City, Kan. She lived her entire life in the Kansas City, Kan., and Bonner Springs areas. She and her husband of 57 years, Warren J. Passler Sr. were married at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Kansas City, Mo.
Mrs. Passler is survived by her husband, Warren J. Passler Sr., of the home; one son, Warren J. Passler Jr. and his wife, Annette, Bonner Springs; and one daughter, Kay Schierbaum of Kansas City, Kan.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
